Most restaurants and breweries that come to us have had at least one bad experience with a website: a developer who went quiet, a template that looked nothing like their brand, or a site they couldn't update themselves after it launched. We built our process to fix all of that.
Here's what working with Taps + Tables actually looks like, from the first call to your site going live — and beyond.
Before anyone touches a design tool, we want to understand your business: who your customers are, what you want them to do when they land on your site, and what your current website isn't doing well enough.
We'll look at websites you like together — not to copy them, but to understand your taste and what success feels like to you. We'll ask about the tools you're already using (Toast, Untappd, OpenTable, your reservation system) and map out how everything should connect.
By the end of this step, we have a full scope: every page, every integration, every feature — and a clear picture of what it costs. No surprises later.
Once we know what we're building, we design it. Every Taps + Tables site is custom — we're not dropping your logo into a template and calling it a day. We work from your brand's color palette, typography, and visual style to create something that feels like yours.
We'll iterate on the design with you until it's right. Fonts, layout, image treatment, section order — we refine until you're confident this is the site your restaurant or brewery deserves. This is also where we sort out photography. If you have great shots, we'll make them work hard. If you need new photography or stock in the meantime, we'll handle that too.
Once design is approved, we build. Depending on the size of your site and the integrations involved, this step takes 5–15 business days. We have everything we need from Discovery and Design — photos, text, logos, colors — and we handle the programming, integration setup, and responsiveness testing ourselves.
This is where your menus get connected to Toast or Untappd, your reservation system gets embedded, your events calendar gets wired up, and the whole site gets optimized for search engines from the ground up.
Before anything goes live, we test everything — every button, every page, every integration, on every major device and screen size. We check mobile, tablet, and desktop. We verify all third-party connections are working. We confirm your SEO setup is solid.
When we're confident it's right, there's one question left: when do you want to go live? You set the date. We hit it.
We monitor for any issues, confirm your Google Analytics and Search Console are tracking properly, verify all integrations are running as expected, and make any final adjustments.
After that, your monthly plan includes ongoing hosting, maintenance, security monitoring, and support. If something breaks or something changes, you have someone to call.
Most sites are live within 4–6 weeks from our first conversation. Simple builds with standard integrations are often faster. Multi-location builds or custom integrations may take a bit more time — and we'll scope that clearly during Discovery so you know exactly what to expect before we start.
Every Taps + Tables site includes: an initial discovery and scoping session, custom design mockups for your approval, full build and integration setup, mobile and cross-browser testing, SEO fundamentals (page titles, meta descriptions, schema markup, Google Analytics), a post-launch review period, and full access to your Page Builder and Menu Builder to manage your content going forward. Your monthly fee covers hosting, SSL, maintenance, and support.
That's completely normal. Most of our clients want to talk through what they have, what they need, and what it realistically costs before committing to anything. We're easy to reach and happy to have that conversation.
Tell us about your restaurant or brewery and what you want your website to do. We'll take it from there.
Send another restaurant or brewery our way and we'll give you the equivalent of their first two monthly payments — up to $500.
